Trainer Oral Examination
The objective of the DSDM Trainer oral examination is to assess the candidate's ability to train on DSDM accredited training courses. The candidate will be expected to demonstrate the following:
- The ability to explain DSDM concepts using practical examples from their practical DSDM project experience. The examiners may refer to the candidate's DSDM Practitioner project synopsis, for examples of this.
- The ability to resolve misunderstandings of DSDM concepts
- The ability to organise, monitor and support DSDM practical work
- The ability to assess the delegates' understanding of DSDM
- A thorough understanding of the content of accredited DSDM training courses.
- The ability to describe DSDM accurately without reference to notes or manuals.
All oral examinations are tape recorded. The DSDM Consortium reserves the right to place an observer at the oral examination. The observer's role is to assess the examiners NOT the candidate.
The DSDM Trainer examination is carried out on the basis of 'examine to fail' which means that if the examiners have any evidence that the candidate does not meet the required criteria, the candidate will be deferred.
